Sunday wrap up

Last week, we got free breakfast one morning because it was “Health Ahead” day. Yummo! I had a veggie frittata, apples with peanut butter, a small quesadilla, and infused water.  It reminded me that I like water with cucumber and lemon. It’s time to break out the infusion pitcher!

I had a lot of spinach with my lunches last week, with grapes, carrots, raisins and string cheese for snacks.

For exercise, I did spin on Tuesday, muscle attack Wednesday, treadmill on Thursday, and walking on Friday. Yesterday I walked a few miles at a community art fair, and today I rode bikes with Jeff.

Today was mostly on track. For breakfast, I had toast with peanut butter and bananas, with a heap of grapes on the side.  Lunch was chocolate cake and cheese puffs. Dinner is back on track with a BLT salad, made with spinach, avocado, tomato, and a bit of bacon.  For dessert, I have geek yogurt topped with raspberries.

Off the wagon

I’m off the wagon, but not so far behind that I can’t jump up there tonight.

I weighed in on Saturday, and it’s good news!! Then, I went to a photo shoot, cracked a tooth on popcorn and then decided truffles were a good replacement snack.

Sunday was mother’s day, and so, of course, I spent it with family.

I had two small pieces of cheese cake last night, and a cookie bar with lunch today.  What was I thinking??

It’s back to zero tolerance for treats, I think.

Coach Nicole is easier than Coach Jillian

I haven’t been taking at all well this week (as you may have noticed by the lack of updates).  Today, I’m back at it with new goals on the board, getting a work out, and packing lunches.

I used the a la carte option with a Jillian this morning.  I did the warm up and the abs/shoulders circuit.  I couldn’t get through all of the compound moves right now, so I modified as needed. I’m still hot n sweaty, so I think modifying worked.  😉

Yesterday, I hit the target for all of my macro nutrients. I’m having withdrawals from sweets, though. I had very little in the way of refined sugar, and I had massive cravings, got flushed in the face, and developed a headache… But I didn’t give in.  I was at a manager’s desk. I had grabbed a jar of Hershey kisses and pulled one out. I said to myself “what am I doing,” and put it back.  Even though I was still talking to the manager, I decided to start cutting up a green pepper and eating that instead.  Woo! Will power.  As you may know, I also went for a half hour brisk walk in the morning. Yay fitness!!

This morning I was rewarded with a 1.2 lb weight loss on the scale.

In other news, I stopped using plastic baggies for packing lunches this week, and this is the result. Dear Earth: sorry for using so many plastic baggies. :X
