Sunday wrap up

Last week, we got free breakfast one morning because it was “Health Ahead” day. Yummo! I had a veggie frittata, apples with peanut butter, a small quesadilla, and infused water.  It reminded me that I like water with cucumber and lemon. It’s time to break out the infusion pitcher!

I had a lot of spinach with my lunches last week, with grapes, carrots, raisins and string cheese for snacks.

For exercise, I did spin on Tuesday, muscle attack Wednesday, treadmill on Thursday, and walking on Friday. Yesterday I walked a few miles at a community art fair, and today I rode bikes with Jeff.

Today was mostly on track. For breakfast, I had toast with peanut butter and bananas, with a heap of grapes on the side.  Lunch was chocolate cake and cheese puffs. Dinner is back on track with a BLT salad, made with spinach, avocado, tomato, and a bit of bacon.  For dessert, I have geek yogurt topped with raspberries.

Coach Nicole is easier than Coach Jillian

I haven’t been taking at all well this week (as you may have noticed by the lack of updates).  Today, I’m back at it with new goals on the board, getting a work out, and packing lunches.

I used the a la carte option with a Jillian this morning.  I did the warm up and the abs/shoulders circuit.  I couldn’t get through all of the compound moves right now, so I modified as needed. I’m still hot n sweaty, so I think modifying worked.  😉

I hit the bike again this morning for half an hour. Now I’m drinking coffee and heading to work. Hoping to keep this momentum.

Daily update: funk

A day like yesterday doesn’t just “go away,” so I’m still feeling like I’m in a funk today..

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to:

– 1 Reeses Peanut Butter Cup
– 1 fun sized Snickers
– 1 fun sized M&Ms
– 1 fruit snack
– 10oz Dr. Pepper

Today’s challenge is upper body.  I might just clean house, though. Funks go away faster in a clean house.

I don’t actually know if it’s pound cake…they call it “bread” but it’s cake…

This is a morning that I wished I didn’t have to go to work. I met up with my brother for business purposes and breakfast. We could only chat for a few minutes because we both had to work today.

Me: Awe.. They smeared the frosting on the side…*pout*
Brother: You don’t need the frosting..
Me: !!!
Brother: *shrug*
Me: You sound like me! You don’t need the frosting, fatty..*Gail of laughter*
Brother: !!!
Brother: I didn’t say that!
Me: No, but I do, right? It’s always silent haha.. You don’t need that…..fatty.

Lol my goodness. I love my brother so much. He’s my bestest buddy and we joke around like this all the time.
